Ghaziabad (हिन्दी: ग़ाज़ियाबाद) is a district in the Uttar Pradesh state with its headquarters located at the Ghaziabad city. The district lies in Delhi National Capital Region (NCR) and is relatively smaller in area while being the district with the highest population density in the state.

Ghaziabad district is located in the western part of Uttar Pradesh serving as “Gateway of UP“, due to its proximity and integration with the Delhi NCR. The district of Ghaziabad borders Delhi (capital of Bharat) across the Yamuna River to the west, Meerut to the North, Hapur to the East, and Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida/ Greater Noida) to the South — making it a key industrial and commuter hub for UP’s western region, nestled between the Ganges and Yamuna rivers.
